Game overview

Paws And Claws hands you a cat that is far more comfortable on walls than on the floor. Each level is a shaft or corridor where you bounce from one surface to the next, and the fish you are chasing is placed so the straight route never works. Timing matters, but position matters more: leave a wall at the wrong height and the next surface is either out of reach or covered in something you should not touch.

This title is best suited to players who enjoy tight one-touch platforming with a route to work out.

How to play Paws And Claws

  1. Tap to launch the cat off the wall it is clinging to
  2. Aim for the surface that sets up your next jump, not the nearest one
  3. Collect the fish placed around the level
  4. Reach the last fish to open the next stage

Controls

  • Tap / left mouse button: Jump off the current wall
  • On-screen buttons: Retry the level

Tips for Paws And Claws

  • Jump slightly before you think you should; the arc carries further than it looks
  • Treat each fish as a checkpoint and plan only to the next one
  • When a hazard moves, wait one full cycle on the wall before committing

What worked well and what did not

Pros

  • Single-input control that still allows precise routing
  • Levels are short enough that a mistake costs nothing

Cons

  • Later shafts need near-exact timing
  • One wrong touch restarts the whole level
