Game overview

GoalKings is a penalty shootout that makes you take both ends of the spot kick. Shooting asks for an aim point and a power level, and the keeper reads both, so a corner hit softly often beats a rocket down the middle. Then the sides swap and you are the one guessing, diving on instinct with barely enough time to pick a direction.

This title is best suited to players who want quick penalty shootouts from both sides of the ball.

Tips for GoalKings

  • Low corners at medium power beat a keeper more often than blasts
  • Vary your side; the keeper punishes a pattern
  • When saving, commit early rather than waiting for certainty

What worked well and what did not

Pros

  • Playing keeper as well as striker doubles the tension
  • Aim and power together give shots real nuance

Cons

  • Only the shootout, no other football to play
  • Saving comes down to guesswork at times
